The schizophrenic Polyglots

blog

Learning a new language, learning a new way to think. Translation! It’s about embracing different cultures. When we translate a document, our job is also to make it accessible to people with a different mindset.

The schizophrenic polyglot is born, one thought in one language won’t translate in an other language, “allez, hop hop hop, on y va!” Franglish, Spanglish… It all happens! Quick thinking, then… lost in words, drowning. Catch a boat, bateau floats and we redémarre, larguer les amarres, vogue, navigate in a sea of interpretation. We translate! We cross the bridge, carry the message. The brain switches and never stops.

Translators are the post Babel messengers, the Hermeses!
